Global hotel solutions provider HRS has unveiled a special new Business Tariff that offers exclusively negotiated fixed prices for more than 40,000 corporate customers worldwide.
To spare smaller and bigger companies from costly price negotiations, companies without a framework agreement with the hotel industry can benefit from discounts averaging 30% on the daily room rates available online. The negotiated rates are exclusively offered via HRS, and are bookable as a special Business Tariff in the 100 most important international business travel hubs.
Only hotels that meet the specific requirements of business travellers were invited to join the negotiations with HRS. These requirements include central location, high availability, and above average guest evaluations. HRS has also placed emphasis on convenient amenities for commercial travellers in the chosen business hotels. Breakfast also was negotiated, and is included in this rate. Calculating the overall accommodation expenses has therefore been made much easier. To give business travellers real flexibility, all bookings with hotels with a fixed rate can be cancelled until 6.00pm local time on the day of arrival, so costs for rebooking and cancelling can be avoided.
“With our Intelligent Sourcing service, we have coordinated the hotel procurement for our bigger corporate customers for years,” said Jon West, Managing Director of HRS (London). “Now, we can also negotiate fixed rates for all other corporate customers. This means that business travellers can gain access to exclusive rates with HRS that are well below the spot market rates. These rates complement the contracts the companies negotiate directly with the hotels. Our corporate customers can therefore not only save time, but also save on internal process expenses. Equally, the participating hotels benefit from the additional booking volume of more than 40,000 companies all over the world, which book their hotel rooms on a regular basis with HRS.”
The tender was processed via a specially developed online eRFP platform, which also takes the standard of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) into account. It is supported by local procurement specialists, in more than 50 countries, who have negotiated the rates on-site with the hotels. HRS can therefore achieve a higher response rate and has agreed to favourable conditions due to the higher procurement volume. Business travellers can book these conditions as the Business Tariff exclusively with HRS on a closed corporate customer platform.
These fixed negotiated rates supplement the HRS corporate discounts, which are already offered by more than 30,000 hotels worldwide. Contrary to the recently negotiated fixed rate, the corporate discount includes a percentage discount on the daily market rates, which can change constantly and can be adjusted to current occupancy.
