Holiday Autos Exits Trade Bookings

Last month, Travelocity Global announced the sale of the Holiday Autos brand, Directs and White Label business to Dublin-based car rental solutions provider CarTrawler for an undisclosed sum. The Holiday Autos Trade business was not part of this deal and at the time of announcement, Travelocity Global was contemplating various options.

Following consultation with local representative bodies in each jurisdiction and after much consideration, the decision has been made to withdraw from the trade sector across all geographies as follows:

•               UK & Ireland, Nordics, France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy and Portugal – Holiday Autos will continue to take bookings until 31st August 2013 for departures until 31st October 2013

•               Germany, Austria – will continue to take bookings until 30th September 2013 for departures until 31st October 2013

•               Australia, Middle East – will stop taking any new bookings with immediate effect

Holiday Autos is currently in the process of informing all partners as well as suppliers about this decision and is reviewing steps to be taken for bookings that depart after these dates. In the meantime, Holiday Autos will continue to provide ongoing customer support services as usual for existing bookings and will take steps to manage any bookings with departure dates that occur thereafter. Any customers who may wish to cancel a booking departing after 31st October, as a result of these changes, will not be charged a cancellation fee and will receive a full refund of car rental.
