
UK specialist tour operator, HF Holidays has appointed James Gambling as Chief Marketing Officer.
HF Holidays is Britain’s only co-operative walking holiday provider.
Reporting into HF Holidays’ CEO Chris Simmonds, Mr Gambling will have day-to-day responsibility for Marketing, Partnerships and Membership, as well as the Contact Centre and Group Sales Team. He joins HF Holidays in this newly created role at an exciting time with the walking holiday specialist closing out a record year and planning its 2026 strategy.
HF Holidays CEO Chris Simmonds said: “We are delighted to welcome James Gambling to HF Holidays. He will be a great addition to the team.
“Having worked with James in the past, I am confident that he will bring a great deal of experience in travel, brand and data driven marketing to help lead our future growth plans for the HF Holidays brand.”

It will also be fantastic to work with Chris again, and I look forward to getting to know my new colleagues at HF too.”
Mr Gambling joins HF Holidays this month, coming from JG Travel Group where he held the position of Marketing Director. As an experienced marketing, brand and digital specialist who is commercially minded and analytical, Gambling has significant travel industry expertise. His prior positions include Director of Marketing Operations and Brand Communication Director at Saga Travel, Chief Marketing Officer at Real Response Media whose brands include World of Cruising and Marketing Director at Travelopia.
