Heathrow Expects no Easter Holiday Disruptions Despite Threat of Strike Action

Heathrow Airport management has stressed that it expects no major disruption to operations across the Easter Holidays, despite a seemingly growing threat of strike action being taken by some airport workers over the period.

Heathrow strikes pay deal

Reports in the UK trade press suggest London’s largest airport could be severely disrupted, during the Easter Holidays, for both passengers flying in and those departing, due to potential strikes by border control officers over outsourcing plans, rosters and working conditions.

Heathrow management was quoted as saying: “No jobs are at risk, and we have plans in place to keep the airport operating smoothly…”
