Gray Line Enters Groundbreaking Payment Partnership with TripAdmit

Gray Line – the world’s largest provider of sightseeing tours and activities – has announced a partnership with TripAdmit, a pioneer in digital solutions for the travel industry.

This collaboration will introduce TipDirect, an innovative digital tipping and AI review collection platform, to Gray Line’s extensive network of activity providers and guides worldwide.

TipDirect is a first-to-market solution developed by TripAdmit, designed to streamline the tipping process and enhance the collection of guest reviews.

This innovative platform enables guests to tip their guide directly and review their experience from their mobile devices at the end of the tour, ensuring guides receive instant payments and valuable feedback effortlessly.

The introduction of TipDirect will significantly enhance the guest experience, providing a seamless and user-friendly way for guests to engage with the tipping and review process.

Gray Line’s network of operators and guides will benefit immensely from TipDirect’s comprehensive in-tour engagement tools. The platform includes a guide app, NFC tipping cards, QR codes, and direct links, all designed to provide multiple touchpoints for guests to leave tips and reviews. This flexibility ensures that guests can choose the most convenient method for them, increasing the likelihood of engagement.

One of the standout features of TipDirect is its AI-assisted review capability. Utilising Open AI’s ChatGPT, guests can write their reviews independently or with some AI assistance, ensuring high-quality feedback. This not only enhances the review process but also provides valuable insights for guides and operators, helping them improve their services based on genuine guest experiences.

Griffin Hanbury, CEO of Gray Line Worldwide, said: “TripAdmit’s market-leading AI assisted review collection capabilities, have already proven themselves in gathering an unparalleled volume of reviews. This solution will provide a consistent approach to review collection across our global group, helping us enhance our services and reputation. Additionally, with fewer travellers carrying cash, TripAdmit’s TipDirect offers a fast, secure, and user-friendly way for guides to receive tips directly. We’re thrilled to partner with TripAdmit, confident that TipDirect will elevate the guest experience for Gray Line customers worldwide while empowering our guides and drivers to deliver exceptional tours and experiences in over 700 locations across six continents.”

In addition to improving the in-tour tipping and review collection process, TipDirect offers several other benefits. The platform includes features for tour upselling, allowing activity providers to promote additional tours to boost sales. The social connect feature helps enhance social media presence by engaging with guests who have already shown interest in the services. Moreover, the resource takeover and team tip-sharing capabilities facilitate tipping for guides, drivers, or teams, allowing tips to be shared seamlessly among all involved.

John Maguire, CEO of TripAdmit, added: “TipDirect has been developed for tour guides and their teams to provide customers with a convenient and safe way to tip and leave a review. Cashless tipping could not be easier and with the app, guides can track all earnings and recent transactions in an easy-to-understand format. On the review side we are seeing operators increasing their volume of reviews collected by over 300%. We are excited to be working with Gray Line and their network of operators and guides delivering exciting and memorable sightseeing tours and experiences around the world.”
