Goodbye Carol Anne, Hello Chris

“January is happening,” Carol Anne O’Neill told Irish Travel Trade News when Falcon/Thomson Holidays entertained the travel media to lunch in Peploe’s restaurant to launch its Summer 2015 programme, reports Sarah Slattery.

With two new Sensatori resorts in Ibiza and Turkey and a new destination Kos, its not surprising that Falcon and Thomson are enjoying a great start to the year. Although Spain is still their most popular destination, Greece is “hot on its heels”, according to Carol Anne.

We were given the opportunity to meet the new Head of Ireland, Chris Logan, who said how grateful he was that he was taking on his new role with the business in such great shape. This is no doubt due to the great work and commitment from Carol Anne and the strong team in Dublin.

There was a somewhat emotional farewell from Carol Anne, who thanked all the great people and leaders who shaped her Falcon career over the past 15 years.

Chris took the opportunity to let us get to know him personally. A family man with three children, he manages to find time during his busy schedule to keep fit and watch the rugby. Born in Edinburgh, the anticipation of the Scotland v Ireland Six Nations match would be the championship decider led for some lively banter.
