Canadian low-cost airline Sunwing Airlines is to commence direct twice-weekly flights from Glasgow Airport to Toronto in April 2012 for the summer.
Amanda McMillan, Managing Director of Glasgow Airport, said: “Demand for any direct route between Scotland and Canada is always extremely high. Sunwing’s service is a welcome addition to our extensive list of long-haul destinations and not only will it prove a draw for our customers, it has the potential to generate significant in-bound tourism for Glasgow and Scotland.”
