The base of the Costa Daurada’s cuisine is found in the ingredients of the Mediterranean diet, such as olive oil, fish, vegetables and nuts, among others.  On the coast, the seafood cuisine is of great quality and recognised prestige, as its raw materials are provided by the Mediterranean Sea.

Among the dishes of this coastal cuisine we find romesco sauces, seafood rice dishes, noodles, paellas and all kind of streamed or grilled shellfish and molluscs. Inland, the dishes also have a long tradition, made with products from the land. It is therefore possible to taste typical Catalan dishes, such as the olla barrejada (mixed stew), pig’s trotters with snails or truita amb suc (omelette with gravy).

As well as the traditional cuisine, on the Costa Daurada one can also taste state-of-the-art cuisine, as tradition and modernity co-exist and mutually enrich each other.

One must also not forget the wines produced on the Costa Daurada, recognised with five designations of origin that guarantee their quality. Visitors will be seduced by the wines with designation of origin Montsant, Priorat, Conca de Barberà, Tarragona and Penedès – without forgetting that part of the Costa Daurada is included within the DO Cava!
