The Fred Olsen-owned Hotel Jardín Tecina – on La Gomera, the 2nd smallest of the Canary Islands – has begun a period of complete renovation, overhaul and modernisation.
The hotel will be temporarily closed from this week up until December 5, before its grand reopening on December 6, 2024.
According to Fred Olsen CEO Andrés Marín, the renovation process “will reaffirm the commitment to exclusivity and customer satisfaction, preserving its authentic Canarian essence.”
“Through its steadfast dedication to environmental sustainability and the promotion of local consumption on the island of La Gomera, Hotel Jardín Tecina is committed to utilising zero-kilometre products and its own production. This initiative will even extend to the decorative elements within its innovation project.”
The company said the facilities will be updated, and cutting-edge technologies will be implemented to guarantee a more efficient and personalised service, without losing sight of its commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.
However, the resort will remain open to golfers. Tecina Golf, the only golf course in La Gomera, will remain open 365 days a year.
Thus, throughout the year, it will be possible to take the 1-day excursion from Tenerife on the Fred Olsen Express to play the 18 holes of Tecina Golf overlooking the ocean.
