France Bans Some Short-Haul Flights on Climate Action Grounds

The French Government has banned the operation of a number of short-haul flights within France, on climate action, emission reduction and conservation grounds.

According to Sky News, France has banned short-haul domestic flights where passengers can easily travel to their destination by train instead, in under 2.5 hours.

It would, according to Sky, affect internal French air routes such as Paris-Nantes, Paris-Lyon and Paris-Bordeaux, but connecting flights would be unaffected.
