Four Travel Agency, Four Tour Operator Licences Have Expired

The Commission for Aviation Regulation has updated its Travel Trade Licence-Holders lists, following completion of the 1st November 2012 licence renewals, and as at 09.30 today, Tuesday 6th November, four travel agency licences and four tour operator licences are shown as having expired on 31st October 2012. The CAR is hopeful that all or some of these eight licences will be renewed in the coming days.

The expired travel agency licences are French Freedom Holidays t/a Welcome France (0630), Holiday Malta Company t/a Bellair Holidays (0693), Manasik Tours (0688), and Travel Choice (0447).

The expired tour operator licences are Boyce Coach Travel (222), Fred Olsen Cruise Lines (212), Travel Choice (114), and Traveldev t/a Directski.com, Ski McNeill.com and B2Bski.com.

In addition, four travel agency licences and four tour operator licences are listed as not being renewed from 1st November 2012. However, four of these continue to trade under other licences.

Travel agency licences not renewed are Future Travel t/a Co-operative Travel (0638), Ethel Kelly (0597) – now trading as Unique Travel under World Travel Centre’s licence 0388, Spanish Golf Holidays.com (0640), and Wings Abroad Holidays (0716) – which is trading under tour operator licence 252.

Tour Operator licences not renewed are Balkan Tours (005), CIE Tours International (116) – trading under travel agency licence 0425, Matthews Tours (229), and Topaz Travel t/a John Galligan Travel – which is trading under travel agency licence 0275.

Recent Licences

The most recent travel agency licences awarded are number 0723 to Carrier Travel of Cheadle, Cheshire, England, 0722 Expo Essentials of Kilkenny, and 0720 J. Barter International.

The most recent tour operator licences awarded are number 262 to Lowcostholidays, 261 PJ Martley of Portlaoise, and 260 OTP Travel Services t/a Trevor Brennan Rugby Tours and Euro Rugby Tours.
