Finnair Posts January Passenger Increase Despite Traditionally Slow Booking Month

Finnair carried 819,800 passengers last month.

The airline – which celebrated its 100th anniversary last year – saw load factor and on-time performance (although all flights arrived on schedule) impacted by severe weather conditions and the fact that January is traditionally a seasonally slow month for the carrier.

Even though, the passenger total was 0.4% ahead of the same month last year.

Finnair’s passenger growth was mainly driven by its Asia routes, followed by Europe and Middle East routes. However, January saw a dip in North Atlantic bookings.
