The 2012 Asian Gaelic Games will be held at the Bukit Kiara Polo Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from Friday 26th to Sunday 28thOctober 2012. This year’s Asian Gaelic Games will bring together an estimated 1,000 players, representing almost 50 teams. While many of the participants are Irish nationals living and working in the Asia Pacific region, many other nationalities will also be represented at this year’s event.
In conjunction with the AGG, the Asia Pacific Irish Business Forum, hosted by the Malaysian Irish Business Network, will be held at the Istana Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday 25th October. The APIBF was started in 2007 and is dedicated to connecting Irish business and people to Asia and the Gulf, using the extensive GAA network in the region.
Speaking in Croke Park, Dublin, at the announcement of this year’s event, Dermot O’Shea, Executive Director of Fexco Holdings and Managing Director of the Merchant Services division of Fexco, said: “We are delighted to sponsor the Asian Gaelic Games for the second year running. This is a fantastic event that brings a huge number of Irish and non-Irish Gaelic games enthusiasts together to celebrate our national games.

The games will be preceded by a business forum on the day before (Asia Pacific Irish Business Association) that aims at boosting bilateral trade, tourism, education and Investment between Ireland and other European countries and Asia.
