This year’s Travel Trade Family Fun Day, in aid of Pieta House and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, will take place from 1.00pm on Sunday 1st September 2013 at the ALSAA Sports Club, Dublin Airport. 
The event website, www.travelfunday.ie, will allow you to register from 1st April, to access sponsorship cards or simply donate to this worthy fundraiser.
There will be medals and prizes for all the children that participate in events. There will also be some great prizes on the day, such as flights and holidays, which all participants and attendees will be in with a chance of winning. As well as a 5km fun run, and a 5-a-side football competition, there will also be a number of fun events for all ages such as egg and spoon racing, sack racing, bouncy castles, inflatable sumo wrestling, and much more.
Along with raising money for Pieta House and Make-A-Wish, this year the committee have created the Travel Fun Day Helping Hand Fund. This fund has been created to help smaller charities that may not be as prominent in the public eye. This year, the recipients of the ‘Travel Fun Day Helping Hand Fund’ are Cheeverstown House and Footsteps for Alex, two very deserving causes.
