Cooks Academy is becoming a popular venue for travel trade events. For the second time in a week agents who are aspiring cooks, from agencies including Cassidy Travel, Travelworld, Abbey Travel and JustSplit.com, joined Falcon at the venue.
Hosted by Falcon Holidays, Gran Canaria and the Spanish Tourism Office, the event was both interesting and exciting with all taking part in a great Spanish Cookery Competition.
Visiting from London for the Gran Canaria Tourist Board, Katerina Bomshtein reported that 80,000 Irish people visited the island in 2015 and with new resorts and attractions opening this figure should continue to grow for the foreseeable future. Gonzalo Ceballos, Spanish Tourism Office, and Antoinette Young, Falcon Holidays, welcomed the cooks to the kitchen.
Antoinette Young and Leila McCabe, Falcon Holidays, along with Katerina Bomshtein, Gran Canaria, and Kathryn MacDonnell, Spanish Tourism Office, were on hand to ensure fair play all round.
The winning team came from Falcon Holidays, who all won One4all vouchers: Clare Hoog, Jack Copley, Caroline Coughlan, Martina Dowling and Debbie O’Connor.
