Falcon Holidays has just completed 25 successful years as a tour operator in Ireland, and to mark the occasion the company celebrated with a black tie gala dinner in the historic portals of the magnificent Royal Hospital in Kilmainham.
It was good to see the four founders of the company – Freddie O’Neill, Christine Donnelly, Bill Smith and Gabrielle Malone – together again for the event.
Hosted by Helen Caron and her staff from Falcon offices North and South, more than 120 guests enjoyed Falcon’s stylish hospitality.
Indeed, as Helen reminded the audience, it was in 1988 that the company commenced business, this was the year of the highly successful Dublin Millennium, and Molly Malone was unveiled at the end of Grafton Street.
Three lucky guests went home with holiday prizes. Mary Brown won a cruise for two with Thompson Cruises from Palma. James Malone won a seven-night holiday for two to a holiday village in the Algarve, while John Spollen won a seven-night holiday for two to the Holiday Village in Tenerife.
A certain guest went to Kilmainham Gaol in error, but their identity was not revealed!
