CityJet’s Cork – London City service operates three return flights a day from Monday to Friday, with one return flight on Saturday and two on Sunday. The route, which began in October, provides regular access to the English capital from anywhere in Munster and adds competition and choice for passengers in a key market. CityJet also offers great onward connectivity from London City Airport across continental Europe.
Kevin Cullinane, Head of Communications at Cork Airport, said: “The London routes are already the most popular from Cork Airport with over 800,000 passengers flying each year. Since its launch, the CityJet service has increased this figure further, particularly among leisure passengers looking for a city break. The CityJet service is also ideal for business travellers, with the financial district only minutes away from the airport.”
A new Tourism Ireland campaign is due to launch in London promoting inbound tourism and Cork Airport believes that there is great potential for the inbound tourism product, particularly inbound golf, conference and similar business.
