Etihad Named WTA Middle East’s Leading Airline

Etihad Airways was named the Middle East’s Leading Airline for the sixth year in a row at last week’s World Travel Awards Middle East in Dubai. The airline also won awards for First Class, Inflight Entertainment, and Cabin Staff. Emirates won awards for Economy Class, Rewards Programme, and Website, while Qatar Airways won the awards for Business Class and Lounge (Doha).

World Travel Awards will host its Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2012 at The Oberoi, Gurgaon, New Delhi Capital Region, India, on 12th December 2012 – the first time that WTA’s Grand Final will be hosted in Asia.

At WTA’s Grand Final 2011 in Qatar, The Oberoi, Gurgaon won the hotly contested ‘World’s Leading Luxury Hotel’ category and India saw off competition from London, New York, Cape Town, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney to win the award for ‘World’s Leading Destination’.
