Etihad Airways has received a Stage 2 environmental accreditation from IATA.
The airline received accreditation in four operational areas: facilities management, flight operations, its technical division and catering services.
The IATA program is voluntary and aims to independently assess and improve airlines’ environmental management. Stage 2 represents the highest level of the program’s compliance.
Etihad has committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and halving its 2019 emission levels by 2035.
