Etihad welcomed partners from trade and media at a lunch in the Shelbourne Hotel to celebrate the Airlines 10 years in Ireland .Beatrice Cosgrove, Manager for Etihad in Ireland outlined the progress of the Airline in Ireland over the last 10 years which went in the “blink of an eye”. In 2016 Etihad carried 250,000 passengers on 900 flights from Dublin.
Starting with 37 aircraft in 2007 and now comprising 127 the airline’s progress has been spectacular and with a new terminal opening in Abu Dhabi progress will be assured well into the future. The new terminal will now serve 112 destinations worldwide.
Beatrice confirmed that Etihad had always and would continue to invest in the Irish market and in thanking the agents and all partners stressed support for the trade would remain a priority for future plans to develop the partnerships built up over the previous 10 years.
Con Horgan, elder statesman of the travel trade, assured Beatrice of the appreciation of the agents and thanked Etihad for their support over the last 10 years.
