Etihad and Emirates Both Looking to Ireland to Recruit New Cabin Crew

The two big UAE carriers – Emirates and Etihad – are both coming to Ireland as part of their global cabin crew recruitment drives.

Etihad has already recruited more than 1,000 cabin crew around the world this year and is targeting a further 1,000 by the end of the year.

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier will hold open days and invitation days – from this month to the end of the year in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Athens, Antalya, Malaga, Manchester, Copenhagen, Vienna, Singapore, Nice, Dublin, Amsterdam, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Milan, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Colombo, and Jaipur.

Dr Nadia Bastaki, Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer, Etihad, said: “As Etihad continues to grow, we are looking for exceptional individuals to join our team who share our ambition to become the airline that everyone wants to fly. We’re looking for the world’s best, who will embrace our passion for growing the airline and share our commitment to providing warm hospitality and a truly remarkable experience for our guests.

“There has never been a better time to enjoy the spirit of Abu Dhabi and all that this fantastic emirate has to offer.”

Meanwhile, Emirates will hold three cabin crew recruitment days around Ireland this month – at The Savoy, Limerick, on June 6; The Maldron Hotel, Sandy Road, Galway, on June 20; and The Metropole Hotel, Cork, on June 22.

Samantha James, Emirates Vice President of Cabin Crew, said: “Joining Emirates as Cabin Crew in 1997 was just the beginning of an incredible journey of growth and opportunity for me.From the cabin to the boardroom, Emirates has provided me with ample opportunities for career advancement and personal development. I’ve had the privilege of transitioning from serving customers in the cabin to leading our diverse and dynamic cabin crew management team. Each role I’ve had has been a stepping stone towards greater leadership responsibilities within the Emirates Group. Today, as Vice President of Cabin Crew, I am honoured to lead a team dedicated to delivering our signature inflight customer service and fostering an exceptional crew experience. My journey is a testament to the endless possibilities within Emirates, where dedication, passion, and hard work are rewarded.”
