Following the franchise agreement with Guerin Car Rental Solutions at the end of 2012, Enterprise Rent-A-Car is today open for business across four key airport locations in Portugal, with operational units at the international airports of Lisbon, Faro, Madeira and Porto.
The company’s growing network is already established in five European countries – Germany, France, Ireland, Spain and the UK – with franchise agreements in Greece, Italy and Portugal. Together these countries represent over 90% of European car hire demand.
Delfina Mendes Acacio, General Manager for Guerin in Portugal, said: “Today we are introducing the public to the Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand in Portugal, which is a very important moment for our business. This is not just another car hire company. As the largest car hire business in the world, and with its reputation for outstanding customer service, Enterprise has the resources and the vision to help us to develop a truly exceptional organisation serving the many business travellers and tourists who travel to Portugal every year.”
Jim Burrell, Senior Vice President, Europe, for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, said: “The Enterprise branch network is the engine that drives our business day by day and that allows us to serve each and every customer to the best of our abilities. Every time a new branch is opened, we are bringing new choice and opportunities for our customers. Guerin’s launch of the first-ever operational Enterprise Rent-A-Car branches in Portugal is a very important moment in the development of that network into a truly global resource for travellers.”
