Emirates, which is a sponsor of the Irish Open Golf, hosted the trade at its pavilion at Carton House, Co Kildare, over the four days of the competition.
The weather was mixed but the hospitality was up to the usual high standards of Emirates hospitality as Margaret Shannon, ably assisted by her team of Jane Masterson, Eileen Penrose, Anita Thomas and new team member Valerie Murphy, greeted the tour operators and travel agents who supported them during the year.
The airline had a hospitality pavilion in the tented village that welcomed many thousands of golf fans.
Emirates allows passengers to check in a set of golf clubs free of charge in addition to their normal checked baggage allowance.
The winner of the this year’s Irish Open was Paul Casey from England, who has obvious Irish roots. Paul was presented with the trophy by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD.
