Since Emirates’ inaugural flight from Dublin on 9th January 2012, the airline has already connected 500,000 passengers on its daily Dublin to Dubai route and carried over 22,000 tonnes of cargo.

Margaret Shannon said: “To celebrate reaching our 500,000th passenger on the Dublin – Dubai route is a landmark occasion for us and it is a remarkable achievement in such a short space of time. Ireland is, after all, an extremely important passenger and cargo market for Emirates. We are looking forward to reinforcing this commitment in September, when we introduce a second daily service from Dublin to Dubai.”
