Emerald Airlines, the exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional services and the largest operator out of Belfast City Airport, has been officially recognised as the UK’s number 1 on-time airline for 2024.
Based on data from the UK Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) Aviation Trends for 2024, Emerald Airlines has set a new benchmark for operational efficiency, reliability, and customer service.

The airline’s performance places it at the forefront of punctuality among UK carriers in 2024, exceeding 80% in all quarters of the previous calendar year. This achievement highlights Emerald Airlines’ focus on delivering a seamless and dependable travel experience, positioning it as a leader in the industry for 2024.
Commenting on the achievement, Richard Spencer, Chief Operations Officer at Emerald Airlines, said: “We are incredibly proud to be named the UK’s most on-time airline for 2024. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, from our flight crew to ground handling staff, operations to engineers, it is without a doubt a team effort. We look forward to exceeding expectations in the year ahead, providing smooth and timely operations for our passengers for 2025 and beyond.”

The airline’s inaugural flight departed just over three years ago and has since focused on delivering top-tier regional connectivity, operating a fleet of ATR 72-600 aircraft across a growing network of routes.
Emerald said customers choosing Aer Lingus Regional services can continue to expect industry-leading punctuality and outstanding customer service, as the airline continues to optimise its network and operations.
