EasyJet Pulls Services to Popular Egyptian Destination

EasyJet has pulled flights and cancelled bookings from the UK to the popular Egyptian sun spot of Hurghada.

The town, on Egypt’s Red Sea coastline, is popular with swimmers and diving enthusiasts. EasyJet said it has cancelled flights to the destination, until the end of July at least, while sister company EasyJet Holidays has stopped taking bookings.

It has been reported that around 10,000 UK holidaymakers have had their flights to Hurghada cancelled today, alone.

Airport chaos and IT problems have seen EasyJet cancel hundreds of flights from the UK in the past couple of weeks. Its pilots union has been quoted as warning that the airline’s disruptions haven’t peaked as yet.
