British Midland International is now offering the possibility of purchasing a pre-allocated seat in Economy on bmi operated mid-haul flights. There is a fee of €20 per passenger, per sector and requests can be made via telephone or email up to 28 hours before departure time.
The seating map for mid-haul Economy flights (with the exception of Y class fares) will be removed for pre-allocated seating at the time of booking for all customers. However, customers eligible for free pre-allocated seating can still book their seats in advance. All customers can select any remaining seats, free of charge when check-in opens.
There are no changes for Business Class or Economy Y Class customers and the seating map will continue to be available for seat allocation at time of booking.
The changes to pre-allocated seating in Economy Class apply to bmi mid-haul destinations to/from London Heathrow: Addis Ababa, Almaty, Amman, Amritsar, Baku, Beirut, Bishkek, Cairo, Damascus, Dammam, Freetown, Jeddah, Khartoum, Moscow, Riyadh, Tbilisi, Tehran, Yerevan.
