Dublin Remains an Elite Route as Heathrow Sees 4th Record Breaking Passenger Month in a Row

Heathrow Airport has recorded record passenger volumes for the 4th consecutive month, for August, with nearly 8 million passengers passing through its five terminals last year.

Dublin remains in the top bracket of routes to London’s biggest airport – with Madrid, Los Angeles, Dublin, Dubai, New York and Doha being the only destinations out of Heathrow with more than 1 million passengers per annum.

Heathrow Airport CEO appointment

Heathrow CEO Thomas Woldbye said: “I’m grateful to Team Heathrow for their preparation and dedication to delivering an extraordinary getaway for more passengers than ever before, maintaining strong service levels during what has been our busiest summer. For the past four months we have broken several new records, demonstrating our ability to open a world of opportunity for more people, cargo, business and the UK economy.”
