Delta Named Best US Airline for 4th Year in a Row

Delta Air Lines has been ranked best US airline for the fourth year in a row.

The ranking, by American travel blog and website The Points Guy – or TPG – awarded Delta the honour, again, based on its punctuality, across 2021 and into 2022, and customer service offering.

TPG said Delta was “by far” the number one US airline during the period in question.

Delta is currently on a roll. Just this week, it also was awarded for having one of the best travel reward programmes in the American tourism industry, by US News & World Report.

Furthermore, The Wall Street Journal, the US Department of Transportation and Wallethub have all recognised the carrier for its 2021 performance.

Delta continues to be seen as the best US airline.

“While some airlines just compete on price, it was clear to the editors at TPG that Delta continues to invest in passengers from the curb, to the lounge, to the gate and all the way to baggage claim — and passengers were willing to even pay a premium for this service,” said Nick Ewen, TPG’s director of content.

“Our staff flies thousands of flights a year and confirms what the data shows: Delta once again provided an experience above the rest of the US airline industry.”

Delta has continued to improve its operational performance; investing further in customer service and making a number of schedule and operational changes.

“The resilience of the Delta people and our spirit of innovation continue to lead the way,” said Delta’s chief customer experience officer Allison Ausband.

“We are laser-focused on ensuring the travel journey is as stress-free, hands-free and seamless as possible for our customers.”
