Delta Air Lines Launches Major Revamp of SkyMiles Loyalty Programme

Delta Air Lines has launched a massive upgrade of its SkyMiles Experiences platform, which forms part of its SkyMiles passenger loyalty programme.

The revamp aims to offer members increased options for their air miles, via access to an expanded suite of experiences.

“Delta SkyMiles Membership is about so much more than using miles to purchase tickets for travel and earning seat upgrades – it’s about unlocking unforgettable experiences, exclusive events and shareable moments,” the airline said.

“On top of using their miles to bid on Experiences, Members will now enjoy more opportunities to instantly access Experiences using miles. The higher volume of culturally relevant options and covetable events are all available on a fresh, new digital platform. Whether you’re a film and music aficionado, have a passion for culinary delights or love a spa moment, there’s a Collection for everyone,” it added.

Members can look forward to unique, exciting experiences that are curated for interests across five Collections: Music & Film, Sports, Culinary, Wellness & Adventure, and Fashion, Art & Design. Experiences started to live this week, and new experiences will land bi-weekly — some available to instantly purchase with miles, while others will only be up for bid using miles. Members can expect even more ways to access experiences through Delta’s centennial year in 2025.

“Being a SkyMiles Member is about more than traveling from place to place – it’s about being part of an exclusive ecosystem of opportunities tailored to your ambitions,” said Dwight James, Senior Vice President – Customer Engagement & Loyalty. “With Delta’s new SkyMiles Experiences platform, we are bringing even more value to our Members while providing creative opportunities that inspire them to explore, discover and connect – even when they’re not flying with us.”
