The Dublin Airport Authority has been nominated in three categories in the national Green Awards for excellence in environmental sustainability. The nominations include one for the national Green Transport Award in recognition of the DAA’s new fleet of electric staff vehicles and for its work on mobility at Dublin Airport.
The company has also been nominated for the Green Public Sector Award and the Green Supply Chain Award.
Now entering their fifth year, the Green Awards aim to celebrate excellence in sustainability and to encourage green best practice among Irish companies and individuals.
The three nominations recognise the significant progress made by the DAA in a wide range of areas including transport, procurement, carbon emissions, energy efficiency and surface access.
Mary Coveney, DAA Head of Sustainability, said: “These nominations are a public recognition of all the hard work that is being undertaken by teams and individuals throughout the company to make DAA more sustainable. I’d like to thank everybody who contributed to the application process and to all those who are supporting the green agenda within DAA.”
The award winners will be announced on 18th April.
