Daa Appoints Former Ryanair Executive Kenny Jacobs as New Chief Executive

The Daa has appointed former Ryanair executive Kenny Jacobs as its new chief executive.

He replaces Dalton Philips as the airport authority’s chief executive.

Mr Jacobs has previously worked for Tesco Ireland and UK, MoneySupermarket and Metro Group.

However, he is best known in the travel industry for being Ryanair’s chief marketing officer for more than 6 years.

He joins Daa – which operates Dublin and Cork airports – for a 7-year term.

Daa chairman Basil Geoghegan said Mr Jacobs will be “vital” to the company’s operations at Dublin and Cork airports as well as its growing international operations.

Mr Jacobs said: “My focus will be to deliver an efficient travel experience for consumers using our airports, supporting traffic growth and building on daa’s vast experience of operating national strategic infrastructure, at home and abroad as a key economic enabler in terms of trade, tourism and social cohesion.”
