CWT Ireland Confirms Irish Government Contract

Carlson Wagonlit Travel Ireland has confirmed, as Irish Travel Trade News first revealed on 28th June, that it has been appointed the Irish Government’s travel management company. CWT began booking travel under the new contract on 1stAugust 2012.

The National Procurement Service managed a rigorous bid process that included evaluation of CWT’s cost reduction proposals, reporting capabilities and corporate social responsibility agenda. 

CWT demonstrated its attention to detail, dedication to staff training and robust IT system, as well as its sophisticated traveller tracking system, designed to keep travellers safe while travelling on business.

The contract includes Government Departments, bodies and offices, non-commercial Government bodies under the Aegis as well as Government missions abroad.

To support the agreement, CWT has hired six additional people in its Dublin office.
