It was certainly party time as Etihad Airways celebrated the launch of double daily flights between Dublin and Abu Dhabi by hosting the Irish travel trade at a really spectacular cocktail party in the award-winning Koh restaurant in Dublin.
Over 300 guests, who included RTE’s GAA celebrities Des Cahill and Marty Morrissey, enjoyed a great night of music, custom-designed cocktails and a wide selection of the incredible food from Koh.
As a thank you to the Irish travel trade for their unstinting support, Etihad Airways gave away some amazing prizes via an interactive quiz, which was compèred on the night by NewsTalk 106FM’s Ivan Yates. The prizes included return flights for two on the new Perth route, a holiday in Thailand, and a seven-night stay in Abu Dhabi.
Beatrice Cosgrove, Etihad Airways’ General Manager for Ireland, said: “From the initial four flights a week when the service was launched and throughout the last seven years, which now sees us fly twice daily, the Irish travel trade have been with us every step of the way. They have played a key role in the success of Etihad Airways in Ireland and for that I want to say a big ‘Thank You’.”
