Claire Somers Wins Trip to Australia

Having won a trip to Washington DC with United the previous week, last week Claire Somers of American Holidays did it again by winning the top prize at the Australia on Tour workshop in Dublin!

Claire won a return Economy Class ticket to Australia with Qantas, two nights accommodation in Adelaide and a three-day/two-night Kangaroo Island Tour with South Australia, and two nights in Darwin and a three-day/two-night Kakadu National Park Tour with Northern Territory.

The five finalists included both Tom and Susan Kiernan and so expectations were raised that the coveted prize would be going to Ask Susan Travel – and were raised still further when Susan made it through to the semi-finals. However, Claire was (just) closer to guessing the height of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and swept away with the prize.

A total of 42 agents attended the workshop in Dublin.

On the following day, another 37 agents took part in the roadshow in Cork, where Siobhan Doyle of Trailfinders won the prize of a fridge full of Aussie beer, wine and chocolate.
