Celebrity Cruises has announced that adventurer and TV personality Ben Fogle will be joining two of its European sailings throughout summer 2016, continuing his role as the cruise line’s official ‘Destination Expert’. Ben is also extending his programme of Great Adventure shore excursions to take in more destinations throughout Europe, with rafting, hiking, speed boating and mountain biking all added to the options for cruise travellers looking for an action-packed way to explore ports of call.
The new Ben Fogle-hosted sailings will give guests onboard the opportunity to meet the TV adventurer at his travel seminars and adventure talks. Guests will also hear first-hand about his incredible appetite for challenges, and learn about the people and places that have inspired his travels.
Ben Fogle will be regaling guests with tales from his journeys on the following cruises:
- 25th April 2016 – Celebrity Reflection for an 11-night Greece, Turkey and Italy fly/cruise departing Rome (Civitavecchia). Price from £1,239 per person based on an interior stateroom with flights from London Gatwick

The specialist talks and seminars onboard are available to all Celebrity Cruises guests at no additional cost.
Adventure Experiences
Following the success of Ben Fogle’s dedicated ‘Great Adventure’ shore excursions launched in 2013, Celebrity Cruises has also added four new adventure experiences for guests visiting selected European destinations. Each Great Adventure will offer guests an unprecedented opportunity to experience culture, history, famous sights and wildlife, often to off-the-beaten track locations throughout Europe. The programmes are ideal for those keen to indulge their inner explorer while on shore, and have been specially curated by Ben Fogle to showcase a different side to a port of call.
Highlights include rafting in Rome, hiking in Montenegro, mountain biking in Malaga and a speedboat adventure in Helsinki Archipelago.
