Celebrity Cruises has set up a dedicated organisation to service travel agents throughout the island of Ireland. Tryphavana Cross has been appointed as Major Account Manager – Ireland and Northern Ireland, while Lorraine Quinn has been retained as a consultant to the luxury cruise line.
Tryphavana and Lorraine will both report to Nicki Tempest Mitchell, Director of Sales – UK and Ireland.
Tryphavana told Irish Travel Trade News: “I am excited about my new role and I am looking forward to meeting travel agents in all 32 counties. It is really good to represent such a great product, and I am delighted to have joined Celebrity Cruises.”
Nicki Tempest Mitchell said that there has been significant investment in creating the new structure that has been designed especially for the Irish market, including a dedicated team at head office for Ireland. This team will support Irish agents as they seek to increase their sales of the Celebrity product.
“We have just announced our 2015 sailing schedule and they have just gone on sale in Europe. In addition we are putting a cruise consultant on all of our ships who will take bookings for future cruises – and the travel agent who booked these clients will have their commission protected for any bookings made on board.”
As part of the new structure there is now a dedicated phone number for Irish agents: 1800 932 611.
Travel agents can now offer their clients the choice between complimentary drinks or up to $300 onboard spend on selected sailings departing from May 2014 to March 2015, when booked between 3rd March and 30th April with Celebrity Cruises. Agents who make bookings under this promotion will also be entered into a weekly draw to win one of five €100 Ticketmaster Gift Cards to be given away each week. But be sure to enter your bookings in the trade incentives page: for full details just click on the Celebrity banner on ittn.ie
The luxury cruise line will have an exciting line up of 261 destinations in 72 countries and will sail to all seven continents, visit new ports of call in Alaska, Europe, and Asia, offering overnight stays, many of which coincide with internationally renowned festivals and major sporting events. So it looks like full steam ahead for Celebrity in the Irish market.
