Cedar Point, in Ohio, has been ranked the best theme park in the US, in a new study by holiday property rental company Florida Rentals.
The study analysed a series of data points, including prices, reviews, the number of attractions, and attendance, to conclude that Cedar Park is the best.

Florida Rentals’ study scored each of the 20 amusement parks analysed, tallying these together to provide a final overall score out of 70, which shaped the rankings. The top five amusement and theme parks based on these scores were:
- Cedar Point, OH – Ranked top with 61.08 points out of 70.
- Six Flags Great Adventure, NJ – Ranked second with 60.49 points out of 70.
- Six Flags Great America, IL – Ranked third with 57.94 points out of 70.
- Kings Island, OH – Ranked fourth with 57.78 points out of 70.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom, FL – Ranked fifth with 56.50 points out of 70.
However, if the rankings were purely based on attendance, they would be dominated by Disney’s Magic Kingdom, FL, and Disneyland, CA, with the Disney theme parks attracting 17.72 million and 17.25 million visitors per year, respectively. However, with entry tickets as much as $189 and $206, the magic of Disney couldn’t put the two most attended theme parks any higher than 8th.
In comparison, four of the top five ranked theme parks had entry tickets of $100 or less. Considering many people will attend with friends and family, can see them save nearly 50% when compared to some of the most attended theme parks.
