Cassidy Travel Wins Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Award for Ireland

Cassidy Travel has once again won the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Award in Ireland for 2023 in association with Virgin Atlantic.

This is the 4th year in a row* (the awards were not held in 2020 due to Covid. Cassidy won in 2019, 2021, 2022 and now 2023) the independent travel agent has scooped up the coveted accolade.

The glittering award ceremony was held last night (Thursday 13th July) in London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge presented by TV and radio favourite Mark Wright alongside Travel Weekly editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley with entertainment provided by ex-Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle.

“To win an award such as this for the 4th year in row is testament to the hard work and professionalism shown by each and every member of the Cassidy Travel team,” said Sharon Harney, General Manager of Cassidy Travel. “Travel has become a complex business and the knowledge that is required to provide a consistent high level quality of service demonstrates the passion for excellence within our business.”

The Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards are the largest celebration of the travel trade in the UK & Ireland and the highest accolade for travel agencies and agents.

The awards are designed to honour those travel agencies and travel agents who truly represent the best of the travel industry, and recognise excellence in a range of categories and specialisms.

The award winners are selected based on voting by travel industry suppliers including tour operators, airlines, cruise lines and tourist boards, with some categories decided by panels of expert judges.

Travel Weekly is the market-leading multimedia company and magazine for the UK travel industry, with a presence in print, online and through a portfolio of events.

Congratulations and well done team Cassidy!

I have worked in the travel industry for seven years, from working in American Holidays and The Travel Corporation I have a wealth of knowledge of all aspects of travel. Before joining ITTN I worked for Facebook which gave me the inside knowledge of the wonderful world of social media. I have a BSc in Event Management and am also a qualified beauty therapist (which definitely comes in handy in this business). Recently I joined the AWTE Ireland committee and I am enjoying working with and connecting with the network of women in travel.
