Carnival Corporation Welcomes Anthony Auriemma as Senior Director, Corporate Affairs

Carnival Corporation & plc, the world’s largest cruise company, today announced the appointment of Anthony Auriemma as senior director, corporate affairs. In this role, Auriemma will lead corporate affairs efforts across the western United States and Canada.

Auriemma brings deep experience in government relations and public policy, most recently serving in a key external affairs position at Starbucks Coffee Company. He has also held senior staff roles with the City of Seattle. Leveraging his expertise, Auriemma will continue building on Carnival Corporation’s valued relationships with legislators, port stakeholders, regulators and community leaders in the region – advancing the company’s industry leadership and serving as a trusted voice on important business issues.

“Carnival Corporation’s strong community presence and trusted partnerships with local leaders allows us to attract top-tier talent. Anthony’s addition to our corporate affairs team reflects that ongoing momentum,” said Tandy Bondi, senior vice president, government affairs. “His extensive background in government relations and public policy, combined with his proven leadership and commitment to building meaningful partnerships, will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our presence and reputation across the western U.S. and Canada.”

“I’m honored to join Carnival Corporation and contribute to a company that has long demonstrated a commitment to supporting local communities,” Auriemma said. “As someone who grew up in Seattle, I’m especially proud to begin this work in a place I know well – partnering with local stakeholders to help ensure our efforts reflect and preserve the unique character of the destinations we serve.”

Auriemma succeeds Sandy Olsen, who returns home to Australia to serve as vice president, corporate and external affairs, Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific for Carnival Cruise Line

Starting today, Anthony Auriemma will be based in Carnival Corporation’s Seattle office, the gateway to Alaska operations.
