The Commission for Aviation Regulation’s updated website listings for travel agent and tour operator licences, following the spring round of renewals, shows that one travel agent licence expired on 30th April and five did not renew from 1st May, while one tour operator licence has been added.
TA licence 0709 issued to Apex Travel Consulting Ltd trading as GPS Travel expired on 30th April 2015.
Five TA licences were not being renewed from 1st May 2015: 0722 Expo Essentials; 0250 Scotts Ltd trading as Scott’s Travel Worldchoice in Arklow, Co Wicklow (which ceased trading on 3/10/2014 and its business taken over by O’Leary’s Travel Agency); 0610 Tandem Travel Ltd in Dungarvan (now added to licence 0420 Toureen Trading Ltd t/a East Cork Travel); 0728 Travellink AB of Sweden; and 0710 Way2Go Travel Ltd in Straffan, Co Kildare.
Other changes to the travel agent listings include trading names of O’Hanrahan Travel and DM Tours added to 0520 O’Hanrahan Travel Ltd; address of Private Villas in Donnybrook, Dublin 4, deleted from 0257 Skytours Travel Ltd (but two Private Villas trading names retained); three trading names, Yourstay, TravelUsa and Getgoing, added to 0601 Travelpaths Ltd; and 0736 TravelPlanCorporate Ltd t/a FCm Travel Solutions deleted (the licence was issued to 30/04/2015 and FCm Travel Solutions is still included in the entry for 0321 TravelPlanPartners Ltd).
On the CAR listing of tour operator licences, an addition is 211 Strand Travel (Waterford) Ltd, 24 George’s Street, Waterford, Tel: 051 872 881, with an expiry date of 30/04/2016 and with the same trading names listed as for Strand Travel’s travel agency licence.
Another change to the tour operator listings is that for 058 Club Travel, where the branch for Skyline Travel, 93 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1, has been deleted and Eurasia added to the Fonthill Industrial Park address and two more added: 80 Lower Clanbrassil Street, Dublin 8, Tel: 01 608 0090, and 1 North Main Street, Cork, Tel: 021 427 9029.
