Ibis – the first budget hotel brand in Europe – is celebrating its 50th year in business, having been established in France in 1974.
Ibis is now in more than 2,500 locations across 79 countries worldwide and – under the ownership of Accor Hotels – covers three brands; namely Ibis, Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget.
The brand will celebrate its 50th year by entering its 80sth market by the end of this year with the launch of its Ibis Style hotel in Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik.
