Belfast’s magnificent new Titanic Centre was the venue for the British Airways Northern Ireland travel agents dinner on Wednesday. More than 150 agents enjoyed an evening of dinner, entertainment and lots of prizes to destinations on the airline’s network.
Simon Daly, in welcoming his guests, said that British Airways was delighted to be back flying from Belfast – and announced an increase in the daily frequency of flights from six to seven, to London Heathrow Airport.
The event was compered by local TV personality Julian Simmons, who really got into the spirit of the evening. It was good to see Brenda Morgan at the event in her new role with British Airways. The agents’ reaction to having the airline back online was very positive, and augers well for the commercial success of the route. So it looks like it will be welcome aboard for passengers from the North.
