British Airways took over the wonderful Wilde’s Restaurant in Dublin’s Westbury Hotel to host more than 60 travel agents to dinner. The event was a thank you to those present, for the business they had given to the airline in the past year.
Simon Daly, the airline’s Manager for Ireland, welcomed the agents and revealed that sales revenue from Ireland was up by an amazing 57% for the year to date, over the same period last year. However, he did point out that 2010 had been a year with volcanic ash and poor weather conditions had led to the cancellation of many flights.
Daly went on to say he was fortunate in having the best sales and support staff in the country.
