British Airways has announced a number of changes to its loyalty programme, the new version of which will go live at the beginning of April.
As of April 1, the British Airways Executive Club will become simply The British Airways Club and will feature a new look and feel.

The British Airways Club will also be giving members new ways to earn Tier Points and progress through the Club’s Tiers, and it will be simplifying the way the airline rewards passenger loyalty.
From April, members will earn Tier Points based on the price of their flight rather than the distance flown – earning 1 Tier Point for every £1 of eligible spend. This comes with recalculated Tier thresholds to reflect the new model.
Adding more ways to earn Tier Points:
· Earn 1 Tier Point per £1 spent on select extras such as, seat selection and additional baggage.
· Earn Tier Points on the total British Airways Holidays package, not just the flights.
· Earn Tier Points when making contributions to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
· British Airways American Express Premium Plus Cardmembers can earn up to 2,500 Tier Points by spending on their card (details to be announced closer to launch date).
Other changes:
· New milestone benefits between Tiers – Members will be able to unlock rewarding benefits before reaching their next level, starting with bonus Avios. More details will be announced in the coming months.
· Tier Status will give savings on wine with The Wine Flyer, starting from 5% for Bronze member and increasing with every Tier.
