British Airways and American Airlines will join forces at Terminal 8 in New York’s, John F Kennedy airport.
The renovated terminal will greet guests from 01 December, creating seamless travel connections between the two airlines.
It marks the completion of the first phase of the redevelopment of the airport as a whole.
New York Governor Hochul said: “The completion of Terminal 8 is a milestone in our efforts to build a new JFK worthy of New York,”
The terminal has also been expanded with approximately 130,000 square feet of space.
Operational upgrades of Terminal 8 include new widebody gates, new widebody parking positions, and an expanded baggage handling system.
Upon arrival at JFK, premium customers will be greeted at the new co-branded premium check-in area.
