British Airways Adds Another Flight from Dublin to London City

British Airways is to add a sixth daily service between Dublin and London City linking the two major capital cities for both business and leisure customers.British Airways

The announcement comes just six months after British Airways launched the popular new route direct from Dublin to the Docklands airport.

The current schedule has an aircraft based in Dublin overnight for an early morning departure, allowing customers to do a full day’s business in London or to connect on to British Airways’ 29 domestic, European and international destinations from the Docklands airport.

From 1st June an extra weekday service will be added for a month, which will resume permanently from 1st September. It will depart from London City at 14.40 with the return flight from Dublin at 17.15.

Luke Hayhoe, British Airways’ Commercial General Manager at London City, said: “We are very pleased with our customers’ response to this important new route and delighted to have the opportunity to add an extra frequency so soon, giving customers more choice and flexibility. Our current schedule allows us to operate the extra flight in June, which is a particularly busy month, then we will add the additional frequency permanently from September.”

British Airways operates one of the greenest aircraft fleets in the business at London City Airport and the extra new flight will operate on a 98-seat Embraer 190 jet. Low each-way hand baggage only fares are from €50 and are available to book on ba.com.

All British Airways fares include free seat allocation and online check-in 24 hours before departure, complimentary refreshments and drinks, and no debit card charges.

Customers have a quick and easy journey through London City Airport – and with hand baggage it takes just 15 minutes to get from kerbside to airside.

The new flights between Dublin and London City extend the choice for customers who are already able to fly to Heathrow with British Airways’ up to eight times a day service.
