British Airways Hosts Agents to Dinner

British Airways hosted more than 70 agents from north and south to dinner in Dublin’s Westbury Hotel. Host Simon Daly said that 2012 had been a memorable year for the airline in Ireland. BA aircrafts are now operating from Dublin to London Heathrow after an absence of 24 years and from Belfast to London Heathrow after 11 years. He also announced that, due to the success of the Dublin route, the summer schedule would continue at eight flights per day.

Simon also paid tribute to what he said was the best sales team on the island of Ireland, who between them have more than 100 years of experience in the industry. It had been a great year for the IAG in Ireland, with targets being surpassed, and this was due to  the tremendous trade support.

The Northern Ireland delegation included Terry D. Murphy, Terra Travel; Peter McMinn, Travel Solutions; Charlie Steele, Corporate Travel; Brenda Morgan, British Airways; and David Taylor, Corporate Travel

Simon also gave details of the new flight to New York from Dublin, operated by joint business partner American Airlines. The new daily flight will leave Dublin at 09.00 and arrives in New York JFK at 11.30. The joint BA codeshare flight will offer a two-class service of Business and Economy, and the first flight departs on 13th June.
