Brian Ingerfield, currently General Manager of Tour America, is to leave the company after seven years at the end of November to join CarTrawler as Chief Procurement Officer on Monday 3rd December 2012.
CarTrawler, which was established by brothers Greg and Niall Turley, was a finalist in last year’s inaugural Irish Travel Industry Entrepreneur of the Year Award and is the creator of one of the most widely distributed car rental booking engines in the world.
Last year, UK private equity house ECI Partners made a substantial investment into the company. CarTrawler is the first company to provide a next generation car rental distribution system, specialising solely in car rental solutions. The company offers car rental from over 800 car rental suppliers in 174 countries at 30,000 city and airport locations, in 29 languages, quoting in multiple currencies.
Brian told Irish Travel Trade News: “It was a very exciting approach by CarTrawler and I decided to take on what is a very interesting new challenge. It has been a good seven years with Tour America and I leave the company in good shape and in good hands.”
