Christine Donnelly, Head of Falcon Holidays, reports: “I am delighted to announce that Brendan Mallon has progressed well with his recovery and has now returned to work.
“Over the past few weeks he has been working with Carol Anne O’Neill on a gradual handover of responsibilities, and he will now resume his role as Commercial Trade Manager with immediate effect. I would like to thank Carol Anne for her contribution in the last five months, as we are all aware it has been a particularly difficult trading environment and she has ensured our effective relationships with the trade both in the North and South of Ireland.
“Carol Anne O’Neill, with immediate effect, will take on the role of Acting Marketing Manager, until Charlotte Brenner’s return in April 2012. As you all know, Carol Anne comes to the role with a wealth of travel industry experience having worked in both retail and tour operating. She has held a number of senior positions with various travel companies and has been involved in the marketing of XL and, most recently, in the setting up and marketing of Wings Abroad.
“I hope you will join me in welcoming Brendan back and wish him and Carol Anne every success in their roles.”
On behalf of Ireland’s travel industry, we certainly do, Christine. Welcome back Brendan!
